Message to Parents:We have the most important job in the world. There is nothing we do in our lifetime that is more significant than how we raise our children. It’s a challenging, full-time job that lasts throughout our lives, no matter how old our children get. While parenting presents us with struggles and trials, it also offers us many rewards. Those rewards, too, can last through our lives.

MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of the Norjenes Day Care Center is to provide children with a safe, supportive, stimulating environment in which each child’s potential for emotional, intellectual, social and physical development is nurtured. We have learned that Learning through Love, Patience, and Experience Promotes Growth.
PHILOSOPHY
The Norjenes Day Care Center is a center designed to create and present a comprehensive childcare program utilizing traditional and innovative early childhood techniques. The Center is the educational development component that is designed for age’s two-and-a half to five years of age.
All Aspects of the academic program are designed to meet the needs of the individual child. The program develops the social, emotional, and educational development of the child, as well as their creative and constructive peer interaction. The child is our most important concern. He/She is eager, active, interested and curious. Their behaviors are always changing. We must meet their needs when they emerge. We are geared to provide individual assistance and instruction whereby children can achieve their highest potential socially, emotionally and intellectually, along with providing a healthy, nurturing, and safe environment.
Family involvement at the Center is essential to the child’s growth. This means we work with the whole family. Success in our children’s future relies on the present situations. Our curriculum is an educational program that promotes the best interest of the child, not negating the needs and aspirations of the family.

HEALTH PROGRAM
The health program provides service for the child’s physical and mental health. The nurse, from your school’s district, checks each child’s eyes, ears and teeth. In cases where it is thought helpful, a referral to an appropriate agency will be made. Parents are invited to be with their child during the screening.
Schedule includes a balance of active and quiet periods throughout the day. Meals and snacks are served to provide the nutrients for sound growth.
